our priorities for the 2020 london eco film festival
The 2020 London Eco Film Festival was due take place this year on the 14th and 15th of November, however, due to COVID-19 we have taken the difficult decision to postpone it until March 20th and 21st 2021. By this time we hope we will be able to host the event live and welcome you all along.
Submissions for the 2020 edition of the festival will remain open until February 14th 2021.
We will of course again be showcasing the incredible films that focus on conservation and the environment, but we will also have a focus on events that that have affected every person on the planet in 2020.
During this COVID-19 pandemic we have seen people across the world generously giving up their time, money and skills to volunteer out in the community. Businesses, community groups and residents have gone beyond their call of duty and joined forces to ensure the elderly and most vulnerable have access to food, medication and other supplies during this lockdown. We want to highlight the positive stories, no matter how big or small.
Also, while the number of deaths has fallen in response to global lockdowns, the pandemic is also associated with increased anxiety and depression in experiencing isolation. We want to tell the stories of those people who have been affected in a negative way by the pandemic. We want to show your stories and allow you to put across your thoughts in order to better educate those who cannot know what you have been through.
We are happy to provide equipment to document your story, if you need it. Find out more information here.
