Booking Conditions:
Confirmation of applications will be by e-mail on receipt of an application form duly completed and signed and of payment of £100 deposit for each name on the application form. Deposits are non refundable except in the unlikely event the project does not go ahead.
Final payment will be due eight weeks before departure. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the application as cancelled with loss of deposit.
Insurance, you must have your own insurance covering personal belongings, personal accident, cancellation, all medical costs including rescue operations and repatriation and personal liability, and an EIII form. Neither the Atlantic Whale Foundation nor Canary Nature or its employees will accept any liabilities that could have been covered by cancellation and travel insurance.
Deposits and balances paid are non refundable except where projects do not run in which case applicants will be advised at least eight weeks before departure.
Accommodation will be as described in the project information. In the event of accommodation having to be switched we will ensure that the new accommodation is of an equal standard.
Flights, are your responsibility as are transfers to the project site (s). You can arrive on the projects at any time on the start date.
Complaint. In the unlikely event of a complaint you must notify the responsible project staff on location immediately who will endeavour to put things right. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction then you must notify the London office in writing within 28 days of your return.
Responsibility of applicants( s): The applicant(s) is responsible for completion of passport formalities and any other personal arrangements, such as visas, currency, medical requirements which may be necessary. Each applicant(s) will be considered to be responsible for his/her own actions and any damage arising therefrom. Due to the nature of these programmes, it is essential that a high level of discipline and understanding is established and maintained. Project leaders on location will remove applicants from the programme if they feel that the continued presence of the individual (s) concerned is detrimental to the projects goals. No refunds will be given.
The AWF will take every reasonable measure to ensure that your volunteering experience is as
described. It cannot however be held responsible for non-appearance of species expected.
